Just some recent pics of the boys from Friday night....... they get so silly! 
And the best one....... Neither John nor Tristan saw eachother and Tristan got a face full of snow for a few seconds before John realized he was there lol. At least Tristan was laughing once it stopped lol.

To begin... it went fine. We're home, he's good. His tongue is definitely tender but he's back to normal, and was right away.
Ok so now the story... We got to the hospital after dropping off Tristan at a friends house around 630am. Jacob was in "Jacob" mood. He was a grump and onry. Nothing particulary bad just crabby and tired. They checked us in and got us into a room where they had some toys for Jacob and some hospital jammies. After some convincing he gave in and let me put on the hospital jammies and socks. We sat there for a while and watched TV... the nurses came in and out to ask questions, have me sign paperwork and so on. Then came the anesthesiologist LOL! He came in with a little needleless syringe full of happy medicine. Jacob took it no problem and in about 10 minutes a comedian was born. He decided it was only acceptable for him to talk in silly voices and to make silly noises. He told me at one point "Look Mommy, there's two TV's now" in his mumbled slurred speech. It was hysterical. It really calmed me down and we laughed so hard the nurses came in to see what was going on. I was laughing hysterically and then Jacob started to then I was laughing at him laughing.... endless cycle. And it was so nice to actually, when the time came, leave him laughing and giggly rather than crying or upset. Once they put up the rails on the bed and started wheeling him he said "woooo this is fun" lol. Those were some GOOD drugs!
I waited for about an hour by myself in the waiting room before they came and got me again to go back and see him in recovery. He was sobbing horribly which I half expected. He had a rough time waking up with thrashing and kicking, screaming, trying to pull his IV out. It took me a good 10 minutes to calm him down. They put us in a nice dim room with a recliner for him to sit with me and brought him some juice and milk. He was super happy to get the IV out and all the junk off of him. We only sat in recovery for a half hour or so, not long at all. Then put him in a wheelchair and wheeled him out and I went and got my truck and pulled it up to the door and put him in the car.
It was a super fast process and I'm glad it's over! I was actually way more calm than I expected to be. I cried a bit once I walked away from him and into the waiting room but it didn't last long and the time flew by luckily!
And of course like any good mother I video taped Cubby in his drug induced silliness :) You can totally tell that he is just giggly and silly and out of it :)
Enjoy and thank you so much for all of the prayers and good thoughts.. keep them coming for the biopsy results though please. We should have those in a week.

I've been wanting to get a tattoo for my Mom... and I finally thought of something I wanted the other day.
I gave her a jewelry box years back with the engraving "Always my Mother, Now too my Friend"...... well I had her write that phrase in her writing and I tattooed her writing on my back last night :)
My mom is NOT a tattoo fan but she's realized over the years... there's just not stopping me with tattoos ha ha!
I called her before I got it and said "Mom so where do you want your tattoo", her response .... "NOWHERE" lol...

I absolutely LOVE how it turned out and I can't imagine it being more perfect, thank you for cooperating Mother :)
I have a request to send out via blog because that's how everyone keeps up on us.
Jacob has to have a minor surgery on Wednesday. He has a spot on his tongue we've been watching and the oral surgeon has decided we need to remove it and biopsy it. It's a very quick procedure, doc said maybe 5 minutes start to finish. He will be knocked out, it is taking place at the local hospital.
I know this is probably very minor to some people but for me, its been very haunting. The thought of the whole process, to be very honest, is giving me anxiety. I will be totally fine around Jacob but once they have him, there are NO guarantees I won't be running around the hospital like a crazy woman (ha ha).
In all seriousness, please pray for his safety during the surgery and selfishly for my own ability to hand him over to people I don't know. Anyone who knows me knows how difficult this will be for me to hand him over and semi trust these people to care for him.
I will update on Wednesday afternoon as soon as we get home and settled. Or I will have someone else come on my blog and update for me if I can't get on.

Alright well, I guess I should update on us.
We'll start with John. He's been in school now for almost 2 weeks. He's going to school on base. I can't remember what it is called (he'll probably be disappointed for that lol) but its because he made rank that he has to go through a 6 week schooling. He's been super busy studying and has homework like crazy. That's pretty much taking up all of any free time he has. He does breaks on the weekend to breathe and relax a bit though so he doesn't go insane.
Tristan is still loving Kindergarten. He just can't get enough. They actually shut down the school two days last week because of bad weather and he was so bummed he couldn't go to school. He's reading better and better. He's getting much better about taking his time to sound out the word and not guessing. He is on level C reading right now, which is where they are supposed to be by the end of the year so he's doing just great!
Jacob is doing well also. We didn't send him back to preschool this semester so he is home hanging out with me. We have fun spending time together and running around. I have a good friend who has a daughter his age and they come over quite often to hang out and play so its fun for them. We've been having attitude bootcamp with little Mr. Cubby lately and he's getting much better about the testing. But of course we all know Jacob and he can't lose it all... I think that attitude is here to stay even if its just a little lol.
I'm also doing fine. My health is pretty much stable, little glitches here and there but nothing we can't deal with. I'm surviving :) Keeping up with the boys, animals, John and the house my time is pretty much taken up completely. I did go out the other weekend with a couple of my girlfriends though. We just went to dinner and to a bar to have a couple drinks and get out of the house for a few hours. It was alot of fun!

So we went over to our friend's house last night for some food and fun. We played Rockland (well I didn't, I watched). It was fun though :)
