Since being diagnosed with Graves Disease I have run into alot of people who don't understand it. And I have found myself at a loss alot of times trying to explain it to people. People often think that because I don't "look" sick, that I'm not. A while ago a friend of mine showed this to me and I ran across it again today. It's called The Spoon Theory. And if you take the time to sit and read it, I think it will help you understand how people with autoimmune diseases live. It helped me understand alot and it really puts things in an easy way to understand.
Thanks.

An Amazing Experience
I had the most amazing day!
One of my very best friends, Danica, asked me to be at her daughters birth. Her husband is serving our country overseas and was not able to be here for it. Her mother flew in over the weekend and was there also.
I was so honored just to be asked. I hadn't ever seen a C Section on TV in detail, let alone in real life so to be completely honest, I was nervous. But way more excited than nervous!
We were to be there at 6am this morning and after being delayed for a little while due to an emergency, Danica was on her way. I could share every single detail but I will leave it that it was a truely amazing event. It has been a while since I've been a part of a childbirth, and I wish I could do it every day. Everything went completely as planned and Mommy and Baby Girl are both doing so well.
Babies are such a wonderful blessing and a beautiful gift from God. I am so blessed to have been a part of Danica's family on this day and blessed to have her in my life. I am so thankful for all of my close friends and family and this day has just made me realize that even more.
Happy Birthday Baby Avigail!

Spring Cleaning Time...
Why is it that in order to "Spring Clean", you have to take your entire house apart?
I started the Spring Cleaning mayhem this morning with my downstairs. We took up all of the rugs to help keep it nice and cool down here with the hardwood floors during Spring and Summer. The weather has been amazing the past few days. We've taken the boys out to ride their bikes (see pic below) and they're loving it!
Not too much to report on here. Same ol' same ol'.
I hope everyone's having a good spring so far :)
